Overview
One of the biggest challenges facing the mining industry today is an increasing shortage of skilled workers. This runs in parallel with steadily declining numbers of students enrolling on undergraduate degrees in mining-related disciplines. We need to find ways to work directly with the primary and secondary education sectors to find better ways to direct students towards careers in mining to secure the sector's future.
