Aleesah will show participants how stories and books can educate, enlighten and engage both children and adults in the incredibly important topic of environmentalism and the preservation of species. Participants will be given time to brainstorm and discuss their own ideas for stories that focus on animals and the environment. Saving the world starts with stories!

Biography
Aleesah is an internationally published, award-winning author. She is the writer of over fifty books for children, including picture books, chapter books, novels and series. She has won and been shortlisted for numerous awards, including the Environment Award for Children’s Literature, The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Eve Pownall Award, and the Speech Pathology Book of the Year Award. Many of Aleesah’s books champion the cause of animals, the environment, and child self-empowerment.
