Details
Before we start planning for interventions and solutions, it is important that we have a very clear understanding of the child in need of support. Often we are under pressure to find quick solutions to complex problems; and this is just not possible. Much of my work involves helping school staff to understand the issues, barriers and needs of a child even before we can begin talking about intervention and support. This is a practical session where I will talk about different ways of gathering useful information, setting goals, and starting to plan.
