There is an ever-increasing number of children experiencing mental health difficulties in Australia. Anxiety at school can have a detrimental impact on a child’s academic performance, ability to interact effectively with peers, and can erode their confidence and self-esteem. This workshop explores the most common causes for anxiety in primary-school aged children and will outline a number of evidence-based anxiety management strategies that can be incorporated into classrooms to benefit all children.
