Biography
First Languages Australia committee member Melinda Holden is a Warrgamay, Gurang and Taribalang woman with solid experience in embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages in schools across her region. Melinda is a driver in developing the fabulous resources which First Languages Australia publishes for free access by educators nationally. She played a critical role in establishing the regional Aboriginal language centres for central and northern Queensland. She holds Diplomas in Linguistics and Language Planning, and Material Production. And is a member of the Queensland Indigenous Languages Advisory Committee.
