Details
The interest in reading from the upper primary years and into high school has been monitored over the past few years at Padua College and creating opportunities to engage students in reading is a focus of our library program. From the commencement of book clubs at school and monitoring borrowing rates of students since 2016 a more formal approach was taken in at the end of 2018 to begin recording data on reading for pleasure and purpose. Padua’s journey with engaging and maintaining readers with books, book clubs, author events and our own Padua comicon demonstrates our continued enthusiasm with creating innovative ways to influence readers.
