Does your health service provider’s data link with your site data to give meaningful insights into workforce health and culture? Does your HR system talk to your WHS management system? Does your WHS management system talk to your claims management system? Is your business taking a data-driven, proactive approach to injury rehabilitation and injury prevention? How we track and interpret health and safety data is changing. Implementing interoperable data systems is key to developing targeted and proactive safety and health initiatives at work. During this session, we will explore what best-practice looks like when it comes to utilising health and safety data, and how we can build intuitive systems that will improve rehabilitation outcomes, and ultimately help to prevent serious injuries in the workplace

Data & Machine Learning: Reducing Risk with Interoperable Health & Safety Systems

Biography

In 2001, Dr. James L Murray pioneered the non surgical treatment of complex injuries to the upper extremity commonly found in workplaces. James was able to successfully resolve a significant number of carpal tunnel, trigger finger and shoulder bursitis cases which had previously been a major pain point for the patients and their employers. Soon after, James founded Work Healthy Australia as The Soft Tissue Centre to respond to the need to triage, manage and rehabilitate injured workers where they are safest, keeping them at work and on full duties. In the 2004, James launched a cloud based database (IMS) which fuelled his passion for technology. The IMS continues to evolve to this day, assisting clinicians to achieve excellent patient and business outcomes.James partners directly with employers in order to reduce workplace risks, prevent illness and injury in the workplace, and deliver a healthier and more productive workforce.
