In the modern world, we are constantly looking for ways to make our work environment safer. When it comes to access ladders, platforms and safety systems, there are a multitude of ways to solve these challenges. Increasingly however, there is a focus on designing a system to compliance with Regulations, the Standards and Codes of Practice. Does compliance with these requirements mean that the system is automatically safe for use? David explores the issues of safety vs compliance and asks us all to consider a number of core issues when prescribing these systems for access in high risk areas.

Biography
David Davis is a 15 year veteran of the access and safety industry. With a background in IT, system design and manufacturing, he brings a combination of both technical and practical approaches to addressing access issues whilst ensuring safety is maximised for commercial buildings and structures.
